New initiative to lower legal drinking age

College students are moving in, and college partying will not be far behind. Now, a group of educators is proposing a surprising way to deal with campus binge drinking -- lower the drinking age.

Lower it to 18. If a person is considered an adult and allowed to do just about everything else at 18, then why is the drinking age different? I'm 23, and a UNCW student. Most 18 year olds drink, so why not lower the drinking age and keep them from getting in trouble. They're going to do it anyway. Whether the conservatives who make our laws and hold our country back approve of it or not, it is going to happen!
