Causey looks put out

When I look at Causey with the sound off it looks as if he is in pain. This is no more of an apollogy than when a kid gets caught and sent to the principles office and is made to say he is sorry. The only way this cowardly sheriff can show how truely sorry he is is to resign and give the job to someone that honestly cares about human life.

To Friend of Chris Long

Please tell Chris Long and his family how very sorry I am by what has happened to his life. I was in law inforcement and it could have happened to me. I have followed this case from the start and I pray daily for you all. To lose a loved one by a shooting or murder or even a car wreck is horrible. For that life is gone forever. Just take one second at a time and put your life in God's hands for he is there.

In regards to the officer

In regards to the officer walking away from this, who are you to judge him and tell him to BE A MAN! You don't know what this man's life is like on a daily basis. He killed another person and he is going to have to live with the fact that he took that child from his parents and loved ones for the rest of his life. My heart goes out to Peyton's parents. Having a child taken away from you no matter what the circumstances are no one can know the hurt and pain unless you had it happen to you. Unless you have been in Peyton's parents place you have no room to judge.

Apology

This was a great apology and it means alot to me and to many others. This settlement is the next best thing to the officer who pulled the trigger actually being held criminally responsible. On that note, when is ex-officer long going to BE A MAN AND MAKE HIS OWN APOLOGY? teenagers are indicted for manslaughter all the time for driving to fast and causing fatal accidents, why does this guy get to walk because he "mistook the sound of a battering ram for gunfire." Had he not heard that sound a thousand times before? I dont know how he lives with what he has done to Peyton's family and friends who continue to miss him, every day of our lives. -Ryan D Mills-
