State aboard plan to bring rail to Port City

A commuter rail line to Raleigh?

WHAT are you people smoking? Is this revenge for people griping about the convention center? Is this some cruel way of saying, "Hey, you thought we were nuts to build a convention center" How's this one grab ya?" Exactly WHO is going to ride this magical rail line between Wilmington and Raleigh? Is there a commuter rail line in the country that is self sufficient, and doesn't require massive taxpayer infusions to stay alive? What's next? A space center, to launch rockets?

Commonsense had a great point, "Magical train." At a time when every single penny counts; governments are cutting cost, companies are laying off, etc. This "so called" train has been in debate for several years. Many of our best leaders have fought against it for years (Pres. Eric McKeithen of CFCC for one). The reason they fought against it....because it makes no sense to the tax payers. And possibly the people involved have property that's a conflict of interest (on the potential path...duh..they'll make a killing on their property). Tax payers...here's another one you're going to take in the goo-ha. Get out your check books Wilmington tax payers!
