It's been a staple of Surf City since 1955, but safety concerns have the department of transportation talking about replacing the Surf City Bridge. You want to cover this story, why don't you talk about the proposed 'fixes' to this problem. That way we can start a real discussion about the decision DOT is making. When folks see the price tag of the proposed projects, they'll begin to ask if this isn't good-ol' boy politics trying to get some contracts for their construction buddies.
Show some responsible journalism, and give the public the DOT proposals - it's enough to make anybody cringe!!! NCDOT wants to build another high bridge to nowhere!
We can lay off more teachers, yet this project has suddenly become so important? WHY?!?!?!
