Tax admin takes blame for missing millions

How can someone who has had a job this long make a mistake like this. Did anyone ever wonder what other mistakes were made? I did. I compared million dollar homes on the water with homes in what is considered middle class neighborhoods and most of the middle class homes were assessed more tax value than the multimillion dollar homes. There are homes with acres of ocean front property paying less that those of us that live in a 2000 sq.ft. home on 1/4 acre. What exactly is the formula for figuring out if your taxes have been assessed correctly? I have yet to get an answer. Are they just going to assume that this man only made one big boo boo? Hopefully not. Someone needs to step up and check this system it makes no sense. Calling him does not work - the only answer you get is that is just the way it is. If you ask for a formula they will not give you one. Please compare your property with others it makes no sense.

first of all, stop the master plan for the gigantic convention center, and dont forget all the money the taxpayers have had to cover just for all the consultants and contractor bids. this is the first place to really stop the loss from being laid on city and county officials. get a handle on the spending. not everyone has salaries like county and city officials/
