TroubleShooters: Parents have problem with school bus stop

A parent wants to know their child is safe when riding the school bus home. But two incidents in Brunswick County left one couple upset that their young daughter had to walk down a rural dirt road...after the bus dropped her off.

this is so stupid. my kid is allmost 11 now. i to live down a dirt road.ive had no problem being home for my child. you need to make arangement to get your child home safe.its your problem not the schools. at least your kid gets a free ride home. if you dont like the way things are run then pick your kid up at school your self.and shut up.i hate stupid people.

As a mother of a young child I would be very upset in this situation as well...Its not like this family is asking for a million dollars all they are asking is there 8 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER not be left ALONE!!!!!! is that a crime people wonder why children get raped, missing and all the Amber Alerts you see.....This very well could have been one of those situation's where the child was harmed.....Instead of being so critical maybe you should stop and think if this was your child how would you feel if you don't feel the same way then maybe you need to do some soul searching.

the parents should have their child taken away for not being their for their child.twice. they knew that the bus dont go down dirt roads and still they wernt their for their child twice. i have raised 4 kids of my own. all girls. the oldest is 25, the youngest is 10 soon to be 11 in june. i have allways been able to meake arangments to see to it that my children are home safe. and a child that young should not be home alone any way. how stupid are you people?
