UNCW researchers raising farmed fish

We're surrounded by water here in the Cape Fear region, but our seafood may not come from the ocean for much longer.

Since North Carolina will not ban commercial net fishing to within 3 miles offshore like most the other states have, then they need to look to an alternative since we are killing all of the fish that spawn in our waters every year. Oh and by the way since our tax dollars are paying to raise these fish does that mean I get to eat free at the Bridge Tender, or can I go by UNCW and pick up some fish for the same price the Bridge Tender is paying for them.
