Unemployment numbers are up

The latest state unemployment numbers are in, and they're up. Right now, North Carolina has a 5.4 percent unemployment rate, and while that's not terribly high, people in our area say it is becoming increasingly difficult to find work.

People in brunswick county feel they can only hire relitives or friends of employees. I constantly see the same ads in the paper but you'll never get a phone call. It took me 5 months to find a job here and I am qualified for secretarial and working with animals but, no one would ever give me the chance. Sorry bunch of employers here!
