My husband's death
The weather had no bearing on my husband's death. The water was calm when a rogue wave came out of nowhere and swamped their 22 foot boat. There was no forwarning weatherwise or any other way that the wave was coming. Neither my husband nor Dale Causey were inexperienced when it came to boats or the ocean having been around them all their lives. As for the vicious rumors going around Wilmington as to the "other" cause for my husband's death, they are completely false and nothing but bold faced lies. These rumors were started by a certain lieutenent and were based on private opinion only, not on medical findings. These totally untrue rumors have done nothing but cause further distress to myself, my daughter, close friends and family members in this time of grief and have served to do nothing but slander my husband's and Dale Causey's good name. To all those that have defended my husband and Dale, my utmost sincerest gratitude. To the person that started those awful rumors and to those that believe them and spread them not ever having met my husband or Dale, shame on you!
