WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Some people are taking advantage of One Stop Voting.
If you live in New Hanover County, you can vote early at the Government Center and at the Cape Fear Museum. If you want to avoid lines, you should head out to the Cape Fear Museum satellite location on Market Street.
"A lot of people will use early voting or their absentee privilege because they're not in town," early voting official Mimi Kessler said. "We're seeing a lot of people, who are traveling, that won't be there. It is a convenience to come out at your leisure rather than that one day."
A reminder: while this is a primary election, it is your only chance to vote on a sales tax increase in New Hanover County. The sales tax increase will not appear on the November ballot.
Early voting runs through Saturday ahead of Election Day Tuesday.
More than 1,500 people have already voted in New Hanover County; more than 2,400 in Bladen County; more than 2,100 in Brunswick County; more than a thousand in Columbus County.
