I do not like the way this deadly incident was hushed up with tax money. Right and wrong is important when it involves a life. I wonder if the family will donate the money to charity in their son's memory as they said. And I wonder if another lawsuit against the UNCW police will eventually be filed. If you cant shoot people thru a door, lie about a jail death, rob drug dealers, intimidate witnesses, violate suspects' fourth ammendment rights and sexually harrass women, why be sheriff? This is certainly not the worst case of police abuse on the books here in Wilminton.
But it will be interesting to see how this one plays out.
