Jonathan Barfield Jr. (D): NHC Commission Candidate

I too am excited to see Mr. Barfield in the race. Being someone that has lived in the community for years and watched it's growth, he knows more than anyone what this community needs from affordable housing to education being a product of New Hanover County school. I would also like to think that he gained some wisdom from his father who was an awesome county commissioner for 12 years. If he's anything like his father, we will definitely see some change. Let's get this man elected!!!!

It's good to see Mr. Barfield also stepping up to the plate. But with any newcomer, you hope they will stand behind their promises. If voters would take the time to listen to interviews like this, they might have a better idea of who they are electing, and re-electing. It always amazes me how voters put those back in office who are not even representing them.
Talking about representing your voters, Senator Rand's office should not think the 'ole circular file, i.e. the trashcan, is an acceptable way of representing the citizens of NC. I mean we all need to downsize and clean house, but throwing petitions in the trash as they're collected is not the way.
