The death of Wake Forest basketball coach Skip Prosser is sending shockwaves across the Tar Heel state and the sports world. The 56-year-old died of an apparent heart attack Thursday afternoon after jogging on the track next to his office. Prosser spent six seasons at Wake Forest winning an Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season title in 2003 and reaching the NCAA tournament in his first four seasons. Prosser recently signed New Hanover High standout Ty Walker to play at Wake. Walker was at the Reebok tournament in Las Vegas when he heard and tells the star news that he "just busted out crying." Prosser is survived by his wife and two sons.
