Wake held for boys killed in fire

WILMINGTON -- Last night friends and family remembered two boys killed in a weekend fire. A wake at the Coble Ward Smith funeral home in Wilmington honored the memory of Anthony and Tyler Turner. The two boys died when their Leland mobile home caught fire Sunday morning. Their parents, Samantha and Daniel Bell, have been released from the burn center in Chapel Hill. People who attended the wake said there was a tremendous community outpouring of support. Daniel bell's coworkers have created a fund for the family. The family's two girls remain in medically induced comas in a Chapel Hill burn unit.

Leland family that lost everything to fire

I have sent an email to the newsroom saying that if the community can get the family a new home built that I would donate any and all labor needed to put a roof on the home. I feel that since this is the work I do it is the least I can do to help them. Just let me know if and when I can help

Leland House Fire

I would like to donate some furniture to the family who lost everything including two of their sons in the recent house fire. Please tell me who I might call. Thank you.

My friends,

My heart goes out to karen and katilyn. We are praying for both girls and for the parents. This Christmas will be a sad one without the whole family being here. We are awaiting your return and we are praying for you every day. Come home well and safe KATILYN!!!
