Gas prices may have dropped, but the cost of food hasn't followed that trend. The American Farm Bureau Federation says the average cost for a Thanksgiving meal will rise about 6 percent. With Thanksgiving just a few days a way, a retail giant has taken steps to ease the burden on your wallet. But will it really work? Walmart says they can help you feed eight people for $35. Some shoppers are not so sure. Shopper, Nancy Mason said, “I think the economy is really bad. Some people are scaling back.” Walmart says it's slashing food prices in hopes of making the holidays a little less stressful on your finances. Norman Taylor, store manager said, “The economy is sort of tough and every one is looking for ways to save money.” Jeane Pohlman loves Thanksgiving. She has already spent close to $40 on her Thanksgiving dinner and she's still shopping. She doesn't buy the $35 deal. “I'd like to see them do it. I don't know if it's possible, because turkeys are expensive to begin with. I am a little skeptical,” she said. A display at Walmart represents a complete holiday dinner; a fresh turkey with all the trimmings, dessert and a bottle of wine. 14 items that end up totaling $33.60. Dewey Stidham, also a shopper, said, “That sounds like a good deal, but I'd probably let my wife check things out and do it her own way. But it sound like a good deal.” Although some shoppers said that they are a little skeptical about the $35 deal, Walmart managers that News Channel 3 spoke to are confident people will take advantage of it. Walmart is so confident in their deal; they will match any local competitors advertised price on the exact same item.

Its walmart meal

Stovetop stuffing? Yeah that will fly. 4 plain sweet potatoes.... geee Yummm. Bright side is we get cheap wine and a case of Coke. Guess if you drink the whole bottle of wine you wont notice the bad meal. This wont get posted.

Bet the meal will be served

Bet the meal will be served on......CHINA! Thank you/Thank you folks for the applause :-)

lol

After all it is China-Mart. They seem to forget about all the ingredients that go into cooking the meal like oil, butter, nuts, salt, pepper, spices, sugar, cream. You know the ones we avoid all year so we can splurge.
