Warehouse fire in Chadbourn finally extinguished

The tire warehouse fire that started Monday night in Chadbourn is finally out. Town manager Stevie Cox said fire fighters extinguished the final flames early Thursday morning.

Environmental officials are still waiting for the results from air and water quality tests.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but law enforcement is calling it arson.

Police are looking for three men dressed in dark clothing who may have been driving a red vehicle on the night of the fire. If you have any information contact the SBI at 800-334-3000.
