WILMINGTON, NC (NEWS RELEASE) - This week-long program will be held from Sept. 13-18. You may stop by Your Computer Friends and Portside Printer Cartridges anytime during business hours (Mon-Fri 9-6 and Sat 10-2) and drop off your used electronics.

We will accept every type of data transmitting electronic device that you would like to dispose of and also old toner cartridges. Only monitors and TV sets will be charged for disposal ($9). Receive a coupon for 10% off your first toner cartridge when recycling!

That's only if you want to dispose of it properly. Cathode Ray Tube monitors require a special procedure to remove the hazardous materials inside so they don't pose a threat to the general public surrounding the recycling facility. They need the money to fund the instruments and labor.
