Who do you think is to blame for the in-fighting within the New Hanover Co. Commission?

Why can't the media, especially WWAY, focus on "real" news instead of this nonsense? If the children don't want to play nice together, then they get replaced next election cycle with adults. Lingering on this school yard behavior only gives the commissioners a false sense of importance and ushers in more of the same.

Lost in rhetoric is fact that Davis and others were unprofessional in manner they hand led the meeting. Personal attacks on others are no substitute for some of their actions. They can ALL do better.

Commissioners receive a taxpayer funded paycheck and benefits package for their services. They get nice invitations to community events also. So we expect our commissioners to be present at all meetings, come fully prepared by reviewing all materials and data they receive from county staff and participate in the board meetings a civil and constructive way.

That said..if an employee didn't show up for work or was consistently late and/or unprepared for the work he/she was assigned, just how long do you think the employee would keep his/her job? Time for Berger do the job he said he wanted and was elected to do.

Brian Berger is behaving like a clown! How does he expect the citizens of New Hanover to believe him or respect him when he repeatedly shows up late & unprepared for meetings? Most employers would have fired an employee that showed that much disregard for his or her job. The disparaging comments he's made about fellow commissioners and the inane accusations show him to be unstable in his thinking. He needs to resign his post and do some serious soul searching.
