Bill Clinton. I'd rather

Bill Clinton. I'd rather have a President that lied about what Clinton did than one that lies about torturing people or spying on Americans.

Fav. Pres.

Good ole Ronnie! One of the best.

Favorite President? George Washington

If It wasn't for Washington's wisdom we would have a monarchy. Ninety Nine percent of Americans don't know or appreciate the things he did for us: he was far seeing in his ability to see the abuses that some will take in abridging the intent of our Constitution.

Greatest president

Franklin Delano Roosevelt-because he united this country during one of hardest times in our history, the depression and WWll. The worse would have to be Bill Clinton-he disgraced the office more than any other President, and his signing of the North American Free Trade Agreement started the jobs rolling out of the USA over to other countries. He turned a blind eye to what the terrorist were doing. Which I beleive led them to be brazen enough to attempt 9/11.

and a liar

Don't forget about the Monica-gate scandal. I don't care about what the two of them did (looking a hildabeast, can't blame him) but once he was caught, don't lie about. Be a big boy and own up to it. How much money was wasted because slick willie wouldn't come clean? Then comes Whitewater and hildas lies.

A toss up between JFK and

A toss up between JFK and William Howard Taft.

Jimmy Carter - I think in

Jimmy Carter - I think in history he will be much more appreciated than he was during his term. He approached issues with caution & consideration. Also big on environmental issues. He didn't seem to only care about wealth & power.

Caution

He used caution alright. Home mortgages were running at 17 per cent interest.

Favorite President

Hands down, my favorite Pres was William Henry Harrison. At no time in his complete term of office was there any tax increase, any war, any scandal or any new laws passed. There were no new states added to an already crowded country to make the Indians mad, and no illegas crossed the border. There were no hurricanes, tornadoes or earthquakes. The first lady didn't make any noise or threaten to redecorate the White House. Wilmington's traffic was undisturbed and North Carolina as a state had not a single homicide. He is the president which should be most honored for all the reasons stated. His entire term of office, March 1841 all the way thru April 1841 was The United States of America at its best! God bless Mr Harrison, and God bless America!

My Favorite President

Ronald Reagan is my favorite President. He made us proud to be an American and brought down communism.

favorite president

Ronald Reagan!!!!!

favorite president

Ronald Reagan!!!!!

THOMAS JEFFERSON

Truly the father of our country, Thomas Jefferson was the greatest President. Second greatest, William Jefferson Clinton. May the next election fulfill the forgotten promises of Clinton's golden age.

Would that be the same William Jefferson Clinton...

...who was impeached and eventually disbarred for perjury, a felony? THAT William Jefferson Clinton?

Fave Pres.

Are you serious about your #2? He doesn't really have a legacy unless you want to count the attempted impeachment, marital infidelity, international embarrassment, tarnishing the office he held, etc. Now Reagan was someone who made our country feel safe. Fought to bring down the Iron Curtain, great speaker, obviously loved his wife, and was a true statesman.

clinton?

I think Wild Bill had tremendous potential to be a great president but he simply could not keep it in his pants. The Republicans wasted gazillions of dollars and hours of time making a mockery of his presidency almost as much as Wild Bill did. Perhaps this is why we failed to get Osama bin Laden--too distracted by sumptuous interns and crazy litigators. History will be kinder to Bill than to his adversaries, I believe. He'll end up in the top 3rd overall, but not the top 10%. The Bushies will be near the middle (dad) and at the very last spot ("W").

Kind of hard to decide.....

Most likely, either Ferdinand Marcos or Juan Peron.

USA

Yes the truth, when realized, sometimes hurts... neither of these people was ever the President of the USA. Now you know. Now, not that I care.. Ferdinand Emmanuel Edralín Marcos was President of the Philippines However, his administration was marred by massive government corruption, despotism, nepotism, political repression and human rights violations and in 1986 he was removed from power. Juan Domingo Perón was President of Argentina which, after World War II, became a leading haven for Nazi war criminals, with explicit protection from Perón. Perón was excommunicated by the Pope Pius XII in 1955.

Well, gee Justin....

Do you think my comment was possibly meant as a humorous response to a question that asked, "Who is your favorite President?" Did they specify "of the USA?" No, they didn't. But thanks for telling us all that stuff that we all knew....

USA

I do see the humour in your response to the headline: "Who is your favorite President". However, the article under the headline does specify; USA. You may not have seen that part. No biggie. Without the USA part your response is really funny! :-} Throw in the USA part and It seems kinda Anti-American or something. USA #1 :-}

Good one.

Good one.

Jimmy Carter. I love the

Jimmy Carter. I love the song sung to the Oscar Meyer bologna tune. My president has a first name-it's J-i-m-m-y. I love to see him every day and if you ask me why I'd saaaaaaay- cause Jimmy Carter has a way with screwing up the U.S.A.

Jimmy Carter

During Carter's administration, the economy suffered double-digit inflation, coupled with very high interest rates, oil shortages, gas rationing, high unemployment and slow economic growth. Productivity growth in the United States declined to an average annual rate of 1 percent, compared to 3.2 percent of the 1960s and the federal budget deficit increased to 66 billion dollars. Oh, let's not forget the takeover of the American Embassy in Iran with a failed rescue attempt of the American hostages held by Iranian students. I appreciate your sarcasm but he's not my favorite President.

fav prez

It is a toss-up between Geo. Washington and Abe Lincoln for me. Geo. flatly refused to be King and declined many opportunities for personal power grabbing and profit. He saw the great potential of abuse and he actively shied (sp) away from it even though he had many people advising him otherwise. Abe held a nation in threads together when war raged and economics were against him. And it cost him his life. It should be no surpirse to ANYONE that people abuse power, but these two men (unlike our most recent prezs)apparently did not. A third, perhaps most underappreciated prez. was Ike--he warned us and we ignored him (military-industrial complex anyone?). Our current Geo. will likely be one of the WORST prez. in our history, but in all fairness, it's a bit early to tell. My prayer is that all the naysayers are worng and that in 100 years he will be vindicated for having begun a humanization of the middle east. Oh, sorry. I was smoking crack and got off track!
