Wildfire again draws advisory for unhealthy air

READ MORE:
COLUMBIA, N.C. -- State air quality observers are again warning about pollutants spewing from an eastern North Carolina wildfire. The state Division of Air Quality has issued a Code Purple for Monday for areas around the wildfire, particularly to the north and east. Officials said unhealthy air will likely spread to areas such as Edenton, Elizabeth City, Kill Devil Hills, Manteo, Nags Head, Plymouth and Washington. The state urged people in those areas to limit their activity outdoors. People with respiratory problems should stay indoors. The fire has been burning for two weeks and is 40 percent contained.
