WILMINGTON -- A Wilmington apartment complex is on the market. The Pines Apartments off Shipyard Boulevard is the same complex that was flooded over the weekend. Realtors say the more than 170,000 square foot property is going for just over $9 million. The Pines management says the complex has been up for sale for at least a few months and that the sale has nothing to with the storm damage. In the meantime maintenance employees are still working to accommodate displaced residents. Pines maintenance employee Ray Rackley said, "The Pines is doing everything they can to get everything fixed and get people into other units. Last night we stayed until 10 o'clock, repainting units and trying to get them fixed up. So, they are trying to do everything they can." The Pines' management also says none of the displaced residents have paid august rent. There is no money they have to refund.
