Wilmington Police precinct to open in January

It looks as though the grand opening for the new Wilmington Police precinct will have to wait until next year. According to a WPD spokesperson, the police station on South College will not be open to the public until January. Some police units are already reporting to the precinct, but painters and construction crews are still working on the building. The police department had hoped to officially open the precinct in November.

I would have done the same thing...

This fortress should have been built in the middle of Creekwood. If I was in a City revenue generating center like this one, I would have done the same thing. Build a nice place where decent folk with jobs drive after WORK to relax so it's easy to hand out bills to tax payers without being in any real danger. We all know where the violent criminals are and they are a long way from College and Shipyard... 5 separate law enforcement agencies and 2 helicopters in one of the smallest counties in the State and we've got the second highest violent crime rate. I want my money back.
