Imagine actually experiencing being on the Polar Express. In Wilmington, it almost became a reality. At the Wilmington Railroad Museum, kids and parents dressed in their pajamas and gathered around NewsChannel 3's Stephanie Beecken to hear her read the Polar Express. After the book, Santa was introduced and gave all the kids their first gift of Christmas. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. Nine year old Cassie Joynes was asked why she was there and said, "Because I wanted to wear my pajamas and I like trains and my dad said it would be really cool. And I like hot chocolate." If you would like to hear a reading of the Polar Express and see Santa you still have a chance. Tickets are still available. They are $5 per person. To make ticket reservations call 763-2634. NewsChannel 3's Joe Mauceri, Steve Rondinaro and Chris Phillips are also guest readers.
