Wilmington woman makes web site for moms

WILMINGTON -- Mothers unite: a North Carolina mom has created a site just for you. Two-hundred moms are connected to WilmingtonMommies.com. The site brings local moms together to talk about issues related to parenting. Once a month members gather for a mom's day out. Renee Lewis uses the web site. She said, "As a mother I know first hand going through the journey of motherhood and how it's forever changing and having people to take to on a daily basis makes that journey a lot easier." Lewis says now that the weather is nice local members will start gathering for outdoor activities. Membership is free. Just simply log on at www.wilmingtonmommies.com.

Our children teach us to be parents, the support that we share gets us though the lessons. The website has something for everyone. Members have formed Babysitting and Preschool Co-ops. Additionally, there are private online forums for postpartum depression, single moms, young moms, and more.
