Wolfpack off to good start in 'new' season

RALEIGH (AP) -- N.C. State coach Tom O'Brien says the Wolfpack win over East Carolina should help his team focus on a strong finish to its season.

O'Brien called the 34-20 win over the Pirates the first win in a 'new' season. That season continues this weekend against No. 21 Virginia.

The coach says he's been trying to get his players to think about one game at a time. O'Brien says the Wolfpack has a plan and is going to stick to it and not get involved in any fads.
