Woman accused of misdemeanor death by vehicle

A Wilmington businesswoman facing multiple complaints has been charged in an unrelated car accident. Earlier this week we told you 39-year-old Amy Leigh Galliher's web based business had come under fire for poor business practices. Saturday, Galliher was involved in an accident on Castle Hayne and North College Road. While driving her van, she hit a scooter killing the driver. Galliher is now charged with failure to yield at a stop sign and misdemeanor death by vehicle. The driver of the scooter 53-year-old James Hewitt died at New Hanover Regional Medical Center on Sunday.
