Woman hospitalized after drive-by shooting

WILMINGTON -- A woman is in the hospital after what police say was a drive-by shooting overnight in the Port City.

Wilmington Police say it happened around 1:30 Thursday morning in the 600 block of north 30th Street.

Police say someone fired five shots, hitting 46-year-old Natalie Scott in the thigh and two cars parked in a driveway.

They are looking for two or three men in a possibly light-colored gold sedan. Witnesses say Scott was shot on the sidewalk but was able to walk to the porch of a nearby house.

Police say she lost a large amount of blood, but is listed as stable at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

If you have any information call Wilmington Police at 910-343-3600.
