A popular Christmas movie, which is also quite timely right now, is coming to the stage in Wilmington. "A Wonderful Life" opened at Thalian Hall Thursday night. The production is a musical version of Frank Capra's film "It's a Wonderful Life" that tells the story of George Bailey, who rediscovers his Christmas spirit during tough times. With the current economic situation, the show may hit close to home. Troy Rudeseal who is playing the role of George Bailey said, "There are lot of people kind of feeling uncertain right now and it gives a very positive message about your life and trying to appreciate the things we do have in life." Director and choreographer Tom Briggs said, "It's such a feel good show that I think people will really be uplifted by it and I think we could all use that right now." Show times are Dec. 11-13 and 18-20 at 8 p.m. and Dec.14 and 21 at 3 p.m. You can order tickets by calling (910) 343-3664 or at www.etix.com.
