Wrightsville Beach bridge closures end

The Wrightsville Beach bridge will no longer be closed overnight for repairs. The North Carolina Department of Transportation has canceled its planned closures for the drawbridge after the necessary work was completed. Drivers should still expect intermittent lane closures while crews complete some final touch-up work.

Wrightsville Beach Bridge

Yes I am the one that wrote WINERS and yes it can be whiners also.I have lived here all my life and use to go to Wrightsville Beach and be able to enjoy it.But now I live with in 2 miles of the beach and will go to Carolina Beach just because the way the people act at Wrightsville. You must have an northern accent to understand what people are talking about. Again close the bridge and let them fend for themselves.Take away all county funding for everything at Wrightsville Beach and see how long they survive. They want to be private let them try it.

If Wrightsville beach is so bad, why are you guys commenting... just stay away. I think I've seen both you guys... you're the ones that can't back a trailer straight down the boat ramp.

Wrightsville Beach Bridge

Boy I was hoping they would close the bridge for good and all the winers at the beach could have the beach to themselves.

I don't live on Wrightsville but I work there and people should know that the town has made great strides recently to be more welcoming. I believe most people do not comprehend how much $$$ the town devotes to making visitors safe and providing services at no charge other than the parking charges. Please understand that before you start taking shots at our beautiful beach and its residents you should know the contribution that the tourism provides. It is a fact that every New Hanover household saves about $197 in property taxes per year due to the tourism revenues. Please consider using spell check when you post.
