CHARLOTTE -- A construction worker has found a human skull while working on a housing development not far from the Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
Authorities say police were called around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Officers found more bones and homicide detectives scoured the woods into Christmas morning.
The remains have been sent to the medical examiner's office.
Police say investigators are checking missing person reports for clues.
