CHARLOTTE, NC — Raycom Sports was honored with a Midsouth Regional Emmy Award this past
weekend, awarded by the Nashville/Midsouth Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts and

ACC Road Trip was named Best Magazine Program for its end of season show. Raycom
production team members who earned Emmys were David Barringer, Jeremy Williams, Alex
Farmartino and host Tommy Kane.
The award-winning ACC Road Trip takes fans to a different ACC game every weekend and
take in the entire “game day” experience. Throughout the ACC football and basketball seasons, ACC

restaurants, and best tailgates. Plus, he takes an unique, up-close and often comical look into the
pageantry and game day traditions that makes ACC basketball and football so great.

“This award speaks volumes about the vision of Raycom Sports and everyone who works on
the show,” said host Tommy Kane. “To think, ACC Road Trip was started just two seasons ago with the
intention of being short format content for the Raycom website, and now we have an Emmy Award for
Best Magazine Show!”
“We are very honored to receive this Emmy Award from The National Academy of Television
Arts and Sciences,” said Colin Smith, Vice President of Distribution & New Media for Raycom Sports.
“We began ACC Road Trip as an idea for short features on the web. As it grew in popularity, we expanded
it to longer in-game features. To continue to expand into a television special that has now won an Emmy
Award is very gratifying for Raycom Sports.”
