Case#: 2011-014435
Time: 10:31 p.m. – Friday night
Location: 462 Racine Drive
Offense: 1st degree burglary, common law robbery
Summary: The male victim, age 37, reported that he was asleep on his bed when three men entered his apartment through the unlocked front door. Victim said he was beaten, and the intruders demanded his wallet. Victim said he was then knocked unconscious and called 911 when he regained consciousness. He said his wallet containing cash was missing. The victim was transported by EMS to Cape Fear for treatment of facial injuries and swelling.

Time: 3:18 p.m. – Saturday afternoon
Location: 110 Montgomery Avenue
Offense: Assault with a deadly weapon
Summary: The male victim, age 20, arrived at NHRMC with a knife wound to his upper arm. The victim said his girlfriend had stabbed him with a kitchen knife during an argument at her apartment, but he was but he was unwilling to discuss the incident in further detail. A WPD officer photographed the victim’s injuries and tried to locate the suspect. The case remains under investigation.

Time: 2:20 a.m. – Sunday morning
Location: 4418 Market Street – Club 609
Offense: ADW inflicting serious bodily injury
Summary: The male victim reported that he left Club 609 and was in the parking lot talking with several men he did not know, when all of a sudden they attacked him. A friend of the victim helped him get away and drove him to the hospital. The victim apparently had been cut with a sharp instrument from his chin to behind his ear. Neither the victim nor his friend could identify the assailants.

Time: 1:54 p.m. – Sunday afternoon
Location: 3600-2 S. College Rd. – Dollar General
Offense: Armed Robbery
Summary: The female employee of the store reported that a man came to the register with several items. Then he lifted his shirt to show her a handgun and demanded that she give him money in a bag. The employee said she did as she was told and then the robber ran out of the store, headed south toward 17th Street. The victim said the robber was wearing a black jacket, light brown shirt, black toboggan cap, with a blue baseball cap on top of the toboggan. Responding officers were unable to locate the robber. The case remains under investigation.
