RALEIGH, NC (AP) — Students in Wake Tech’s solar thermal
training class will get hands-on experience when they install a
solar hot water system in a specially outfitted trailer at the
college’s campus in northern Wake County.
The students will work on the project both Wednesday and
The class is part of the city of Raleigh’s green building
training program. It’s one of four short-term “green” training
classes being offer through a partnership with the city’s Office of
Sustainability. The classes are mean to help technicians and small
business owners market themselves in the green economy by providing
them with knowledge and skills.
