KERNERSVILLE, NC (AP) — A Forsyth County judge who granted a
protective order against Kernersville man has now agreed to let him
move in next door to his estranged wife.

The Winston-Salem Journal reported Thursday that Judy Masters
obtained a yearlong protective order against her husband after he
instigated a three-hour standoff with Kernersville police at their
    home on June 16.

Last week, District Judge William Graham gave permission for
Thomas Mack Masters to move into a rental house the couple owns
next door to their primary residence.

Judy Masters said she is afraid of her husband, but Thomas Mack
Masters denies that he has threatened his wife or tried to hurt
    her.

Judy Masters’ attorney, Kristin Kelly, did not object to the
move during the hearing before Graham.
