WILMINGTON, NC (NEWS RELEASE) — We will be broadcasting from the Monkey Junction area from J Michael’s Philly Deli, 609 Piner Road Wilmington, NC 28409 (if you are heading down College Road, toward Carolina Beach, at the main intersection where Carolina Beach Rd. intersects with College from the right, you will see Piner Rd. on the left. The J Michael’s is in the little shopping center on the left as soon as you turn on Piner Rd.)
There have been so many folks that have been involved in this fight, yet the petitions are not coming in as quickly as they did in Southport.
We really want to get the word out about this central location where folks stop by, talk with legislators and activists about this issue, and get information directly from the Board of Elections Director.
BOE Director, Marvin McFadyen will discuss the correct way to submit the petition and notify persons who have already returned petitions, if they accurately filed the form (apparently there are a lot of tricky things to the process depending on how the land is listed or owned ie… trust, LLC, etc…)
Also, this is a chance to grab a great and affordable breakfast from a small business owner in the area that supports the fight against forced annexation. (J. Michael Hudson was the Republican candidate for the NC House Seat won by Susi Hamilton.)
We will be Broadcasting Live from 6-10am. Area activists will be joining us as well as elected officials.
On air schedule:
