DURHAM,NC (WWAY) — Etienne Boulanger netted UNCW’s only goal of the evening as the Seahawks dropped a 4-1 decision to home standing Duke on Tuesday at Koskinen Stadium.

The Blue Devils raised their record to 3-4 with the non-conference victory while the Seahawks dropped their second straight to fall to 2-5. UNCW dropped to 0-3 on the road.

Trailing 1-0 in the 58th minute, Boulanger, a junior, was able to spot up and drive home a strike from 15 yards out to draw the Seahawks even at 1-all. Freshman Mark Harris was credited with an assist on the play. For Boulanger, it was his second goal in as many games after pacing the Seahawks with six goals as a sophomore.
Duke jumped out in front in the 31st minute on Chris Tweed-Kent’s first goal of the season.
After Boulanger tied the game, Duke needed just three minutes to retake the lead when Nick Palodichuk recorded his third goal of the season, coming in the 61st minute.

Blue Devils’ leading scorer Andrew Wenger, who already had a pair of assist to his credit earlier in the match, netted a pair of goals in the 81st and 82nd minute to complete the scoring.
James Belshaw made six saves in recording the win for Duke.

The Seahawks continue their three-game roadswing with a Colonial Athletic Association tilt at Hofstra on Sept. 24. Kickoff is slated for 8 p.m.
