Victim in murder-suicide posted warning on Facebook


    JACKSONVILLE, NC (WWAY) — The victim of an apparent murder-suicide in Jacksonville warned his family and friends something might happen to him just hours before his death.

    WCTI-TV in New Bern reports Jason Eimer, 30, of Jacksvonille posted a warning message to family and friends on his Facebook profile before the shooting.

    “If something happens to me tonight i love you all…there are people that have certain information that will help solve any uncertaintees. Please pray for me, im doing something i dont want to do. This isnt a joke, please pray for my safety!” Eimer wrote Thursday evening.

    The incidents happened just before midnight, according to police. Police found Eimer shot several times in a black Dodge truck in the parking lot of the Navy Federal Credit Union on Yopp Road.

    Police were then notified that the suspect, Christopher Apger, 32, of Jacksonville, was at the New River Harley-Davidson on Wilmington Highway. When police arrived there, they say Apger went to the back of the building and shot himself.

    Eimer’s Facebook page also says he was going to become a father in a few months.

    No official word yet on what led to the shootings. The investigation continues.
