Turnout still low as early voting for 2nd Primary nears end

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Early voting in the Second Primary election ends at 1 p.m. tomorrow.

The New Hanover County Board of Elections says voter turnout has been very low compared to other elections. Only 243 votes have been cast so far. Other counties have reported similarly low turnout.

Perhaps the biggest run-off is between the men vying for the Republican nomination for Lt. Governor: Tony Gurley and Dan Forest.
