WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)–It’s that time of the year again. As October approaches its last couple of weeks, Halloween fever begins to set in. And what better place to get your tricks and treats than at a local pumpkin patch?

Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church hosts this youth fundraiser every October. Local parents and children spent their weekend picking out the perfect pumpkin to carve for the holidays.

Church youth director Kristin Bednarczyk says after 22-years, it’s still got it.

“The greatest thing about our pumpkin patch is that we’re blessed with a great location and the beauty of these old trees,” Bednarczyk said. “This is a place of tradition. This is our 22nd year for families to come. And it just brings joy to see the smiles on family’s faces is worth every bit of it.”

The church pumpkin patch continues through the end of October. And believe me, it has pumpkins of all sizes. You can get big, small, and mini pumpkins at the pumpkin patch.
