Azalea Festival weekend includes large multicultural event


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The 2013 NC Azalea Festival Multicultural Stage is a two-day celebration that showcases some of the best ethnic performers in the area dressed in authentic traditional costumes.

They will present the best in contemporary and traditional music, dance and ethnic pageantry from around the world.

This year’s multicultural festival will feature a “Children’s Multicultural March” and will present a variety of cultural enriching and entertaining experiences for people of all ages.

The Multicultural Stage’s diversity celebration will be complemented by Street Fair ethnic food vendors and cultural arts exhibits at the “Art Walk”.

The Azalea Festival will be filled with the sounds, smells and sights of different cultures from around the world! In addition to our global performing groups, the stage performances by the cast from the award winning musical “The Color Purple” and Techmoja with their performance of “DREAMGIRL” are all a MUST SEE!
