Officials said the crash involved a church bus out of Nakina in Columbus County and a pick-up truck. The wreck happened around 4 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of South Carolina 9 and Highway 747 near Loris, South Carolina.

We went to the First Apostolic Church where there were cars in the parking lot, but no one appeared to be inside. We talked with one woman who lived across the street from the church who said she couldn't belive this had happened.

"I'm totally shocked about the wreck," said Gayle Stocks. "I noticed that it was unusual over there as far as the cars, you know, especially on a Tuesday evening."

Stocks told us one of her relatives was involved in the crash, but says she is doing OK. There is no word yet on the other victims in the hospital.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
