Man sentenced to probation after church secret peeping trial


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A man on trial in a secret peeping investigation has been found guilty and not guilty on charges in the case.

Duncan Wilkie was found guilty of two counts of possessing photos that were obtained by using a camera to secretly peep on a minor; he was found not guilty of four counts of secret peeping.

Investigators say Wilkie was charged with secretly peeping on a child during church services at Lifepoint church in 2011; he was both a member of the church and worked on the church’s security team at the time.

He was found guilty of possessing two photographs that were taken underneath the dress of a minor during church services at the Lifepoint Church. Wilkie was sentenced to three years’ probation with a suspended sentence. He does not have to register as a sex offender.
