COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — E.J. Jenkins will be a Ranger and not a Seahawk.
The West Columbus High School baseball star and UNCW signee decided to pass on college and go to the pros. He signed a contract with Major League Baseball’s Texas Rangers yesterday worth $2 million.

The Rangers picked Jenkins in the second round of last week’s MLB draft. He was the 45th player selected overall and top pick from the state of North Carolina.
