NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man is behind bars today and about 3,200 bags of heroin are off the street.
After a two month investigation, police arrested 25-year-old Antonio Quintez Walker late Monday evening. The arrest came after officers conducted search warrants at homes on Wellington Avenue and Cypress Grove Drive. During the search police found 3,200 bags of heroin with a street value of $50,000, a 20 gauge shotgun, $2700 in cash and packing materials.
Walker was arrested and charged with Trafficking Heroin and Conspiracy to Traffic Heroin. He is currently in the New Hanover County Jail under a $5 million bond. More arrests are expected in the coming weeks.
This was a joint investigation involving members of the Wilmington Police Narcotics Unit, the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Department, ATF, and North Carolina Probation.
