Rescued alligators from Canada make new home in North Myrtle Beach

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH (WPDE) —¬†From Toronto, Canada, to North Myrtle Beach, 15 well-traveled alligators began a new life this week at Alligator Adventure.

Their move to the reptile park came about because it’s legal in some parts of Canada to buy baby alligators as pets.

Sadly, they often outgrow their environment.

“All of these alligators were either rescued alligators or confiscation alligators,” said Thad Bowman, the park’s zoological public relations director.
