WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — And then there were two.

What should have been a full slate of high school football action under the Friday night lights has dwindled to a limited schedule likely under some Friday night umbrellas.

Of the four area games that had not previously been moved to last night or Monday night, only two remain. South Brunswick will travel to Hoggard and South Columbus visits East Columbus. Both games kick off tonight at 7:30 p.m.

Games moved to Monday are:
-Topsail at Laney, 6:30 p.m.
-New Hanover at Purnell Swett, 7 p.m.
-East Bladen at Midway, 7 p.m.
-Ashley at West Brunswick, 7 p.m.

Several games were moved up to last night because of the threat of heavy rain today. You can check out scores and highlights from those games here.

Regardless of the weather, the 5th Quarter still hits the air every Friday in the fall, and tonight is no exception. Tune in at 11 p.m.
