This year’s guest speaker was Harvard Jennings, a community activist and radio commentator. Jennings said the breakfast aims to bring the community together to discuss various concerns.

“We’re going backwards instead of forwards in some of our communities, so we want to pull the community together and talk about the issues and challenges,” said Jennings.

The event was held at UNCW’s Burney Center.
