The names of the students who took part in this incident have not been released because student privacy issues prohibits the release of information. Swencki did say the incident was sparked after a student displayed a Confederate Flag in the courtyard and cafeteria.

She said school staff immediately investigated after the incident happened yesterday and there that will be repercussions for those five students involved.

This morning Swencki issued a statement which said our community should come together after this and have conversations about how to handle the larger societal issue.
