Boiling Spring Lakes Police save woman’s life with Naloxone

BOILING SPRING LAKES, NC (WWAY) — Officers in Boiling Spring Lakes used Naloxone for the first time over the weekend.

According to a release, the Boiling Spring Lakes Police Department responded to a call Saturday around 10:40 p.m. Officers arrived at Ash Road to find a 40-year-old unconscious woman who wasn’t breathing. Officials say another resident was attempting CPR on the victim and told officers the victim had overdosed on heroin. Officers took over CPR and gave the woman multiple doses of Naloxone (Narcan). They say the victim regained consciousness and was taken to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
