“Most of the residents that we talked to would not like to have the sidewalks at all, because one of the reasons a lot of us came to Carolina Beach, we like the ambiance that it had,” said Sharrill Jennings, a local resident. “The small town feeling.”

Members of the Town Council thanked members of the community for coming to the meeting and sharing concerns.

Carolina Beach Town Council will revisit this issue during a workshop later this month.

At the meeting, Town Council also approved a Conditional Use Permit for a hotel located at 205 and 209 North Lake Park Boulevard.
